Store Policies

To shop online, choose a department to browse in or search by keyword for products. Then add individual items to your shopping cart. You can view your cart or check out anytime you like. You can even save your cart as a wish list for future shopping!

The first time you make a purchase you will Create an Account. Once you have created your account, you will just need to remember your login id and password to access your account for future purchases. If you forget your account password, you can have it e-mailed to you from the account log-in page. When you visit the store to make future purchases, go to the Manage Account page and log in to use your saved shipping and billing information in the check out.)

Each time you select an item and place it in your cart, the default is to display the full cart. However, for quick and easy shopping, you can change your cart options to not display the full shopping cart each time you add an item (which means you can browse through a department and choose multiple items from that department without leaving that page). In the view cart page, just toggle the Cart Option setting to your preferred shopping method and click on the update cart.

Accepted Forms of Payment
-Visa, MasterCard and Discover.  Paypal is accepted for all products except for block of the month programs.  We must have a credit card on file for any block of the month program.

-Checks
If you would like to mail in a check for your order please leave us a note in the comments section of your order form and choose the "Check" option during checkout. Items will ship after payment is received and cleared.

Shipping & Handling
Most packages are shipped via US Postal Service Priority mail unless requested otherwise.  We will ship your items within 1 business day whenever possible. If an item is out of stock you will be notified and we will ship it as soon as possible. If you are ordering sale items, your shipping will be based on the regular price of the items.  If you are ever in question of any of our shipping rates, please do no hesitate to contact us at customerservice@quiltingbythebay.com

*Please Note - International Customers: All Canadian and International packages are shipped via USPS. Quilting by the Bay will ship via the most cost effective means either Priority or First Class. If we can put your order in a smaller flat rate Priority package we will lower your shipping charges accordingly.  The shipping charges above are the maximum amount you will be charged.

Note: We are not responsible for the receipt of international shipping. If a customer wants tracking or insurance they need to request it from us and will be billed at the applicable rate. If tracking or insurance is purchased and the package is not received we will assist in the tracking request but we will not be responsible for the receipt of the package.  Any customs, duties or taxes are the responsibility of the customer.


Store Policies
Our policy and promise to you is that we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you receive a product from us that is not what you thought you were getting, simply return it for a full refund minus shipping fees. You must notify Quilting by the Bay of any discrepancies in your order within 30 days. Any returns must be made within 30 days of the date of purchase. Item must be in saleable condition. All returns should be in the original condition and packaging and have no smoke odor to them. Cut yardage and copyrighted materials (books and patterns) cannot be returned. We want you to know that you can depend on us to meet your needs. If there is ever anything we can do to make your shopping experience more enjoyable, please let us know!
 
Block of the Month
When you register for any of our Block of the Month programs, it is understood that you are registering for the entire program. We will abide by this policy and prepare a kit for you each month with the understanding that you will remain in the program for the duration. If you must cancel out of any block of the month program there may be a cancellation fee! We require a credit card number on file and will charge your card each month for the monthly cost of your program plus shipping and handling. PayPal may be used to pay your registration fee but you must provide valid credit card information for monthly shipments.  Programs vary, please read each program for length of program and associated shipping and handling costs. Block of the Month registration fees are non-refundable. Block of the month shipping rates are listed above in our shipping information.

Shipping Rates for Block of the Month Programs

All block of the month kits sent within the United States are sent via Priority Mail (shipping rates are subject to change based on postal rate increases).  Current rate is: $5.95

 

For Canadian and international block of the month customers, block of the month kits will be sent via US Postal Service First Class Insured mail. 

Current shipping rate for Canadian block of the month customers is $9.00 - $12.00 monthly depending on the program.

Current shipping rate for International block of the month customers will be $12.00 - $15.00 monthly depending on the program.  If a program will have a higher shipping rate it will be noted in the block of the month details.


If you are a local customer you may pick your blocks up at the store to save shipping costs.  Please let us know in the comments section during checkout. Monthly blocks will be available on the date specified for each program.

 

To update your billing information -

· Go to the www.quiltingbythebay.com website
· Enter the word UPDATE in the search box and click the SEARCH button.
· Click the ADD TO CART button.
· When you checkout, you will be asked for your credit card information. The UPDATE item is a zero dollar item and is only used to provide updates to your credit card.


Fabric
Fabrics are sold by the yard, our minimum cut is 1/2 yard (.5) unless otherwise indicated.  Sale fabrics are minimum 1 yard cuts.

Returns  
Any returns must be made within 30 days of the date of purchase. Item must be in saleable condition. All returns should be in the original condition and packaging and have no smoke odor to them. Cut yardage and copyrighted materials (books and patterns) cannot be returned. Customer pays for return shipping. Your credit card will be credited for the returned item only. In the unlikely event of packing errors or damaged merchandise, please call Quilting by the Bay immediately and we will work out the details on a case by case basis. 

Cancellations

There are no refunds for cancellations of special events less than two weeks prior to any special event including retreats and national instructor events.  Some events may have an earlier "no refunds after" date, please review this information before signing up for any event.

Sales Tax
Orders placed from within the state of Florida will have 7.07% sales tax added. International orders (outside the US) may be subject to customs duties and taxes.

Wish List
Maybe you'd like to send a "hint" regarding a special occasion to a special someone. Or maybe you'd just like to keep a list of your favorite things for future shopping! Our wish list is easy to use! Just select the items you want into your shopping cart, then select Save Cart "Wish List" and enter your e-mail address and the e-mail address of the person you want to send your "hint" to along with a message. The contents of your cart will be saved with an ID number that will then be e-mailed to both of you. You (or your friend) will be able to retrieve the contents of the wish list by returning to the site and clicking on "check out." Just insert the wish list ID from your e-mail and the contents of the cart will reappear like magic.
